V: enigmatic and executioner, protagonist and antagonist, hero and anti-hero.
Enigmatic terrorist and anarchist executioner, his identity is concealed by a smiling mask and dark clothing. He is both protagonist and antagonist, hero and anti-hero.
In a dystopian Britain led by a conspiratorial and oppressive government, V is one of the prisoners at the infamous Larkhill camp. During his imprisonment V is subjected to terrible medical experiments that deform his mind. V, in fact, develops superhuman strength, endurance, speed, agility, reflexes and intelligence. During his time in the camp he arranges to plan an escape and, on a stormy night, he detonates the bomb in the cell and escapes. He then adopts the new identity of V and retires planning a revenge against the concentration camp personnel. V then begins his great revenge against the government and against the studios in which government programs are broadcast. After other vicissitudes, V is fatally wounded by a bullet and dies in Evey's arms.
